You are more likely to get sick if you also have the following health conditions:

  • High blood pressure

  • Heart problems

  • Diabetes

  • Cancer and some blood problems

  • Kidney problems

  • Other health problems which mean you are more likely to get sick.

If you live in Auckland and you are over the age of 70 years, you should stay home.

If you live outside of Auckland, you should stay home if you can.

Reach out to your whānau to provide support with buying kai, medicines and anything else you might need.

Rest home facilities across Aotearoa have been closed to all whānau and friends. You can continue to keep in touch with your whānau and friends by phone, FaceTime or any other technology.

If you feel unwell and start to show any symptoms of COVID-19, you should contact your GP to seek a COVID-19 test.

Free flu vaccinations are available for all kuia and koroua. A flu vaccination wont protect you from COVID-19 but it will keep you well during this winter.

Contact your GP for more information on how to get  flu vaccination.
