The loss of a loved one is a stressful time for all whānau.

Losing a loved one while COVID-19 is present in Aotearoa will bring additional stress.

Due to the differences in Alert Levels between Auckland and the rest of Aotearoa, here's some helpful information about tangihanga for whānau, hapū and iwi, no matter where you live.

Auckland is at Alert Level 2 - Reduce

The rest of Aotearoa is at Alert Level 1 - Prepare

The Ministry of Health have restrictions on tangihanga during all COVID-19 Alert Levels.
As the greater Auckland region (Wellsford - Pukekohe) is at Alert Level 2, while the rest of Aotearoa is at Alert Level 1, there are differences in tangihanga restrictions and guidelines, depending on where you live and where a tangihanga is taking place.
